Overview
CAAS MR Flow (Magnetic Resonance Flow analysis) enables you to quantify blood flow and velocity of the mayor vessels from phase-contrast MR images. The vessel border detection can be performed with one click, which will save valuable time.
Key Product Features:
- One click vessel border detection which segments the vessel throughout the cardiac cycle
- Up to 4 regions of interest per flow series
- Comparison of multiple flow sets of one study
- Several correction methods to achieve the most optimal accuracy (aliasing and misalignment correction, movement correction and gradient and phantom correction)
- Anatomical designations for direct calculation of clinical results
- Color-coding to visualize velocities
- Results are available in graphs and tables
Import / Export
Analysis can be done on phase-contrast MR images.
After analyzing the images, you can save your analysis as a:
- Re-analysis file, which you can re-load and edit later
- Spreadsheet containing all numerical results or a selection of results
- Customized graphic report containing images and graphs, this can be saved as a DICOM SC
- Movie of the DICOM cine images including overlays
Key Benefits:
- Digitally saved reports
- Several report formats
- Customizable reports
PACS
CAAS is suitable for standalone use or for low effort integration with DICOM Viewers. The viewer can be either standalone or embedded in a PACS environment which is supplied by third parties.
Command line interface
For integration with DICOM Viewers, CAAS has a command line interface which is easy to use. Within the DICOM Viewer, code must be developed to call the analysis by issuing a command line. On request, Pie Medical Imaging will provide the information on the available command line strings and how to use them.
In the viewer, the user can select images to analyze with CAAS. These images will be sent to CAAS. Additional images can be added by the DICOM Viewer in a later stage.
Licensing
The software can be licensed for a single user on a specific workstation or for multiple concurrent users over the institution’s network.
Results
With only a few mouse clicks, CAAS MR Flow will generate the desired results, in multiple formats.
Results can be calculated for 4 regions of interest. When the user designates a contour, CAAS MR Flow immediately provides anatomically related parameters such as:
- Cardiac output
- Pulmonary shunt fraction
- Aortic co-arctation
- Pulmonary regurgitation
Furthermore, the following results are calculated over time:
- Pumped blood volume
- Blood Flow
- Mean velocity
- Vessel area
- And many more
All results are available in graphs and tables.
