Initial validation of CAAS IV-LINQ co-registration shows excellent results

A multicenter validation study on CAAS IV-LINQ co-registration has been carried out at University Hospital Brussels, Clinico San Carlos Madrid and Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. The team, headed by Prof. Carlier from the University of Mons Belgium, assessed the accuracy of co-registration by evaluating stent and side branch positions in co-registered angiograms with the corresponding IVUS pullbacks. Results were presented at the Belgian Society of Cardiology meeting in Brussels and the investigators conclude that the method for co-registration of CAAS IV-LINQ appears a robust, feasible and accurate tool to guide percutaneous coronary interventions.
