Our Research & Development department is looking for talented professionals to strengthen its development teams. Currently we are looking for a full-time:

Data Analyst/Annotator

 

The position

As a Data Analyst/Annotator your ambition is to collect and extract all useful data from medical image to support the development of complex medical software according to high international standards.

On a day to day basis you work in a research team. You perform data annotation by collecting the necessary data and manage the data in an organized way. Next you manually annotate the medical image data using available tooling and if necessary, create your own tooling. Data annotation involves manually and or semi-manual defining the contours of objects to extract from the medical image data, e.g. contours of the heart chamber, vessels, etc. The annotated data will be used for the training and/or evaluation of already developed machine learning or deep learning networks within the team to provide state-of-the-art image analysis software. Finally, evaluation and validation of the of the results within the team is part of the job.

In order to optimally fulfill the role of Data Analyst detailed knowledge of the features under development related to image acquisition and anatomical knowledge is required. Knowledge of software engineering, image analysis, machine learning and deep learning techniques would be an asset.

Your profile

•       You have strong written and verbal communication skills;
•       You are fluent in Dutch and English.

 

Experience

•       You have completed a Bachelor+ degree in Technical Medicine, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering or similar field;
•       A few years of working experience in the field of data analysis would be an asset;
•       Experience with data collection and data management;
•       Experience with annotation of medical image data;
•       Experience with statistics;
•       Experience with Microsoft Office;
•       Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio would be an asset;
•       Experience with image processing or image analysis would be an asset
