CAAS MRV

This product is for: Business Partners Clinicians/Researchers

Overview

Overview

CAAS MRV (Magnetic Resonance Ventricular analysis) enables cardiologists and radiologists to quickly quantify the performance of the heart. Besides functional analysis, we offer infarct and myocardial perfusion analysis.

Key Product Features:

Functional analysis:

  • Analysis of left and right ventricle
  • Automatic, semi-automatic or manual segmentation
  • Segmentation of endo-, epicardial and papillary contours
  • Use long-axis (2 and 4 chamber) images to optimize the short-axis contours

Viability analysis:

  • Analysis of Delayed Enhanced images
  • Automatic infarct detection

First-pass perfusion analysis:

  • Compare rest to stress situation
  • Breathing motion correction

Results:

  • Results are available in graphs, bulls’ eyes and tables
  • All result types are supported by the AHA 17 segment model
  • Save your analysis as a re-analysis file and re-load it later
Perfusion and Viability analysis are limited by US law to investigational use only.

Import / Export

Import / Export

Analysis can be done on cine MR images. You can load short-axis images and/or long axis (2 and 4 chamber) images.

After analyzing the images, you can save your analysis as a:

  • Re-analysis file, which you can re-load and edit later
  • Spreadsheet containing all numerical results or a personal sub selection
  • Customized graphic report containing images, graphs and bulls’ eyes, this can be saved as a DICOM SC
  • Movie of the DICOM cine images

Key Benefits

  • Digitally saved reports
  • Several report formats
  • Customizable reports

Workflow

PACS

PACS

CAAS is suitable for standalone use or for low effort integration with DICOM Viewers. The viewer can be either standalone or embedded in a PACS environment which is supplied by third parties.

Command line interface
For integration with DICOM Viewers, CAAS has a command line interface which is easy to use. Within the DICOM Viewer, code must be developed to call the analysis by issuing a command line. On request, Pie Medical Imaging will provide the information on the available command line strings and how to use them.

In the viewer, the user can select images to analyze with CAAS. These images will be sent to CAAS. Additional images can be added by the DICOM Viewer in a later stage.

Licensing

Licensing

The software can be licensed for a single user on a specific workstation or for multiple concurrent users over the institution’s network.

Results

Results

CAAS MRV has an extensive result section. You can easily customize the report to view the results of interest.

Key Results for Functional analysis:

  • Ejection fraction
  • End diastolic and end systolic volumes
  • Myocardial mass
  • Wall motion, thickness and thickening

Key Results for Viability analysis:

  • Infarct volume and transmurality
  • Amount of non-viable and viable tissue

Key Results for First Pass Perfusion analysis

  • Intensity over time parameters
  • Myocardial Perfusion Reserve Index (MPRi) derived from comparing rest and stress

The American Heart Association (AHA) 17 segment model is supported for all result types. Results are available in graphs, bulls’ eyes and tables.
