Overview
CAAS A-Valve enables analysis of the aortic root on a 3 dimensional reconstruction. The reconstruction is based on two aortography X-ray projections. Based on this 3D reconstruction an optimal projection is calculated, to assist selection of the C-arm projection. Furthermore it is possible to perform basic measurements.
The workflow is fast and easy to use, which allows easy integration in the cathlab protocol.
Key Product Features
- Spline contour detection
- 3D reconstruction of Aortic Root
- Automatic 3D measurements
- Basic 2D measurements
Import / Export
CAAS accepts DICOM files with single and multi-frame, monoplane, biplane and rotational images.
Images for 3D quantification
For 3D quantification, the DICOM images need to be acquired with a flat-panel detector. The analysis can be based on an image pair acquired with a biplane X-ray system, or two images from a rotation run. Using two images of different projections acquired with a monoplane X-ray system is also possible.
The results can be exported as:
- DICOM secondary capture. The image with overlay and analysis report can be saved as DICOM SC.
- XML. The calculated results can be saved to XML, which can be transferred to a TXT file.
Key Benefits
- Digitally saved reports
- Several report formats
- Customizable templates
Licensing
The software can be licensed for a single user on a specific workstation or for multiple concurrent users over the institution’s network.
Results
Optimal Projection with all cusps visible:
Based on two angiographic images, a range of optimal projections is calculated. By indicating the Right coronary cusp, a projection is calculated which shows the cusps aligned and displayed in this order: Posterior, Right and Left.
Measurements:
- Diameter of Ascending Aorta, Sinotubular Junction and Sinus of Valsalva based on 3D
- Diameter of Basal Plane based on caliper measurement
- Ostia height measurement
- Segment measurements
- Marker measurements
