Founded in 2003, 3mensio Medical Imaging originally started developing advanced imaging software for the radiology department, based on 3D image reconstruction and analysis of standard CTA images.
In 2007, the company’s focus moved to creating more dedicated workflows for interventional cardiology. At first a product dedicated to endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (EVAR) was developed and more recently also for transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI).
3mensio has a dynamic team of excellent software developers and fosters close relationships with key opinion leaders. This enabled them to bring strong added value to surgical and interventional departments. Strong business partnerships with device manufacturers supported 3mensio in becoming today’s leading company in pre-operative planning and sizing software.
In April 2011, Esaote acquired 3mensio Medical Imaging and Pie Medical Imaging’s CEO was appointed as managing director of 3mensio Medical Imaging. Since then, Pie Medical Imaging is responsible for all of 3mensio’s sales activities.
